This is the 5th summer I have used this unit and it's still working great. I use it for my bedroom and it cools the room with no problem. Got it on sale at a great price also.

The slide panel are so cheaply made the first time I expanded them out they ripped so I couldn™™t install the unit. The one I used last year also ripped.

This ac unit is going good so far easy to install the only reason why I didn™™t give it 5 stars is because of the placement of the drain hole

Bought this unit for our master bedroom, was easy to install, the cord was a perfect length and it's relatively quiet compared to the box fan we were using. Turned it on about an hour before bed time and the room was comfortably cool.

I recently purchased an air conditioner for my home. I™™m in love now on the really hot days I don™™t have to come in and dread it. For the simple facts it cools great and now I have to set it on low because it does such an exceptional job of cooling my home.

The good news is, that this is a great product.
The bad news is, the filter is very weak. After I cleaned the screen, the plastic around the screen fractured in multiple areas while trying to put the screen back into air conditioner.

Friends lent us this model (unit) and it worked great in a room of approximately 500 square feet. So we purchased our own and returned theirs™¦I feel ours ( EXACT) same unit is louder and doesn™™t cool quite as well. 4 of 5 stars is appropriate.

Product arrived in good condition, easy to install, very clear instructions, and getting the job done for home office. My only complaint would be it™™s noisier than I would have liked and I wish I had gotten the 6,000BTU unit because this needs to run constantly on high to properly cool space.

I purchased it 2years and one week ago and I had a 2 year warranty. I only used it in the summer 4 or 5 months and I store it in my closet during the winter cleaning filter afew times never dirty. It bit the dust yesterday and it™™s August, needless to say I won™™t buy another General Electric air conditioner.

Broken accordion piece
HJGold
7/21/2024
I purchased this unit as I live in an apartment without central AC. Despite my window meeting the length requirements for the unit the plastic accordion piece broke immediately upon installation. This left me with a gaping hole into my bedroom. In the short term I covered the hole with some fiber board and tape I already had. Given the urgency I got a replacement accordion part from a different company so I could fix the hole. Overall was easy to install but was shocked to see it break easily and immediately once installed.
