The Thermostat functions is horrible! I have the control set for 75 degrees and the inside temp of the office is 84. The a/c does not turn on until it's 90!

Well the warning light to clean the filter stays on and I have cleaned the filter. Its been working now for over two years and I just wonder if there is more than one filter? There is no way to contact GE to ask someone that I have located so far

I gave 3 stars because when it cools its really nice, the problem is it trips the breaker ,I had a Master Electrician install it and has had to come back twice now everything seems to check out . We're beginning to think it's the timer / delay we have tried everything!! I'm almost 70 so it's not like I can pull it out of the wall by myself and return it at this time.The electrician lives in another county so right now I'm not sure what to do .

This 12,000 BTU air conditioner is installed in my large living room and not only cools it but also the adjacent family room and kitchen if the day is not too hot. That's over 1000 square feet. I'm very pleased with it. I connected the unit to WiFi and have it set to automatically turn off in case I forget to do it. This also works beautifully and now I don't have to worry if I remembered to switch it off when I go to bed on the other end of the house. I successfully installed it in a vertically sliding window using a support bracket. I also like that I can set the fan to run continuously or to have it go off and on with the compressor. I don't find it too loud either, at least when it's on low. I feel like I made a good choice.

Known part failure issue and not willing to refund

Purchased this unit June 5th and its is currently July 18th and the unit already not working. I'm experiencing the same issue as many others here with the circuit board failure that displays 88. I have reached out to their customer service to be told its a known issue and they don't make parts for it. they are not willing to give me a refund and insist i need to uninstall my failed unit and return it to the store i bought it at to get the same model which would in turn become defective. I am currently waiting with a supervisor to try to continue to get a refund. this experience has been such a headache that I'm not likely to ever buy another GE product ever again.

I™€™ve always loved GE but this one may have changed my mind First of all came all dented™€¦good size dents in metal and grates bunch of scratches all over it deep to turned it on clanging banging some kinda plastic pice inside Next thing the vents only go one way left right no up or down so it shuts down fat thinks it™€™s at temperature!!! And it™€™s not only goes to 64 degrees that™€™s a huge problem should go to at least 60 degrees come on GE really?? The good Wi-Fi great function & the app for iOS easy hook up It is super quiet that's a plus you can hear your Tv Remote works from way across the room The unit is super light weight no stress on your window and it™€™s small in size packs punch when not shutting down and I believe the number 1 reason it shuts down so much is just because it don™€™t go to 60-62 degrees if they fixed that this would be the best machine ever because when it does work Brrrrrrrrrr lol

Will not cool I have four decades of experience installing air conditioners in the windows. It is as if the compressor is not starting and since GE doesn™€™t work on the weekends. I won™€™t have air conditioner Until I can contact them during a more convenient time for them on Monday, so I have to change my plans for Monday as well.

Great air conditioner! Fairly light in weight for its BTU rating, equal to the 10,000 BTU it replaced, but much more effective in cooling the large room in which it has been installed. So far, it has proven very reliable and effective, for which I am grateful, given the extreme 90 degree temps we recently had. It also looks very clean for an in-window installation, with the extension panels being flush with the frame dimensions. Thank you!
