It ran well for about a year and a half and then began sparking so it is sitting there utterly useless while I try to contact GE about a warranty. Which appears impossible. It was very expensive and we had to also buy and install a built in trim kit. So I am very disappointed.

Awful. Builder put in the first one...it sat on a sled under the counter. We put up with it routinely arcing (you couldn't even do microwave popcorn). Replaced it with a new one same model; same issue. Hence they no-longer make it. I won't be buying GE anything again.
Now we'll be on our third microwave in 7+ years. If I spend $500 on something, I expect it to last a reasonable amount of time.

This microwave came with my house when we built it and we™™ve been here 2 yrs going on 3yrs and this microwave caught on fire in the inside. The little button detail inside the microwave located at the top first started to bulge and bubble I guess from condensation even though we use a cover on our food when we do use it and then all of a sudden yesterday I turned it on to warm up my sons dinner and fire started shooting out from the side in the microwave. Now we can™™t use it and have to replace it with the same one because the house has all profile appliances. Really don™™t want to but it has the surround silver panel fitted for it.

Another victim of false labeling that this is a built-in model to replace an existing one. I bought this at Home Depot in June 2024 for $459. My existing trim kit will not work but I needed to use the new one hoping I'll find the correct trim kit to no avail.

Bought this countertop top during unit our kitchen renovation. Have used it daily for maybe 2 months. The autocook feature for potatoes stops mid cycle and produces ERR. Reset and continue it completes the potatoes. The main problem started 3 days ago. It sounds like the spindle bearing, when the tray is spinning, is wobbling and about to come apart.
I created a service ticket, only to get a call stating this unit does not have serviceable or replacement parts and they would be sending me voucher to go purchase another one.
I am very reluctant to get another like unit, but we like the size. I am also not sure we should continue using this unit in the current condition, but I was informed it could take up to 2 weeks to get the voucher.
What is the newer model that would be compatible?

Catches on fire. I use my microwave maybe 7 times a year at the most. During the holidays I was melting butter so less than 1 minute and it caught on fire!

Overall great microwave and easy to use. It had been awhile since we bought a new microwave. This maybe the way all appliances are these days but it's super light weight and flimsy feeling. It doesn't feel like the quality of a higher end microwave. The thin glass tray inside shattered after one day of use but thankfully the old microwave tray was identical and we were able to use it as a replacement.

Our old GE Profile builtin microwave went out after 17 years. After that long it was hard to find a built in replacement. This was the only one they had. If this one goes out, we will have to remodel our kitchen. Hope it last another 17 years....

I like the size. No where near the quality of our GE Monogram though. Door hangs up on the trim kit. I think it might be a door alignment issue. It was make in Canada so apparently their QC needs some work.

Great Product does very well on heating up items and all the touch buttons are excellent in using this microwave. It has a great feature
of adding 30min and you can add
more minutes. It has a timer to
use for your cooking projects. It has a pause button to use and continue & start your remaining time. You can also mute the sound on the microwave if you prefer not to hear the sound. It also has a reheat, popcorn, potato, veggie or beverage button. Pretty cool features. I LOVE all the features of this microwave and the looks of the stylish microwave on the inside and the outside. I am happy with my product, I think it was worth the money invested.

Very nice but quality is not as nice as my prior model. Also, there is not a beep or alarm to say when the microwave is finished heating like my prior model. For the cost of this product, that should have been added. It wasn't a perfect fit for my wall unit like the original unit. This model was a replacement and no longer had exactly what I had but we made it work.

This is our 2nd one of these and both have had the same problem. Each of them have almost caught on fire. When we call to ask for service to come help they tell us it™™s outside of warranty and won™™t communicate with us past that.
When I say it almost catches on fire. I mean that exact thing. It literally shoots fire out of the side where the light is. We ordered the exact same one the 2nd time so it would match the rest of the appliances. Also, during the install/replacement they took the trim kit around the microwave opening and didn™™t replace it.
Beware, it may catch your house on fire and GE doesn™™t seem to care.

I am happy because (after some work) I was able to fit this microwave in place of an old JE1260 microwave using the old kit that converts the unit to a built-in wall oven. I am not happy that GE didn't think about people like me, who need to replace an older model using the same base.

The microwave itself works great. It is large but lightweight if need to move it. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star review is because it was delivered broken. Well, not broken, but the latch on the inside that connects the open button to the door latches, had fallen off. Had to open it up and reattach it. But once I did that, it works great.

Forst and foremost this microwave is so much quieter than my last microwave. Quiet is good, but there are times I have to get up close to make sure it is still on. I noted this microwave is much more efficient than my last one.and settings like the popcorn setting is so much more accurate. As far as ease of use and features, I couldn™™t be more pleased. My last microwave was a Kenmore Elite, which is no longer manufactured, but I like this one so much better. As far as blending in with our other appliances, it is perfect. I am very happy with this purchase. Highly recommend!

This looks like a PERFECT replacement for our current microwave which is a PEB 7226 SFSS. The dimensions are quite close to the cut out for the install. The question I have is to confirm this can be used in a built in arrangement where there is ample open space around the microwave body. it says countertop but appears it could be built in. I need a stainless model and all of my kitchen is GE and I am hoping to keep the similarity!
