We bought this in 2020. It is a piece of junk. The handle for the freezer broke multiple times, plastic on the shelving broke off, the shelf compartment on the door flies open every time you open the door unless its' empty. It is just generally a terribly made refrigerator. The motor also broke after 6 years and is no longer under warranty so we now have to buy a new refrigerator. Customer service was not very helpful over the six years.

We were looking forward to our new appliances in our new build. Travelled 3.5 hours to pick it up. Plugged it in and all it did was run the fan continuously and warm up. Big inconvenience and very disappointed.

Nice exterior, cheap interior... avoid this one!

We've been living with this refrigerator for about 2 months now. I initially liked it and selected it so that we could have a French door refrigerator option in a smaller footprint. We even waited 2-3 extra months for it since it went on backorder. Pros: Relatively spacious freezer, the water dispenser and the adjustable shelves. It also looks nice and sleek from the exterior. I love the handles with the red Kitchen Aid detail on their ends; a beautiful and stylish touch. Cons: Awkward and limited configuration of the door storage including the large plastic bin on the left door. Two shelves would've been so much more useful. The worst part (I am totally baffled that a refrigerator of this price would have such an issue) are the quality and operability of the produce drawers. They do not close fully and if I push them in, they slide back out just a little (like 1/4 inch or so, every single time) and if I load up the larger drawer on the left full of fruit (isn't that what it's there for?) it comes out of the tracks almost every time I touch it. The drawers and their tracks seem to not be compatible in a way I have never seen in any refrigerator. Extremely disappointing and cheap quality; frankly, I would not buy this model again.

I've been very pleased with this French door refrigerator, especially given my kitchen cannot accommodate a larger unit. This fits perfectly, and I was fortunate to be able to purchase chase this is white, which wasn't easy to come by. The freezer compartments could use a better design - perhaps eliminate the middle front to back separator, or make it adjustable.

Kitchenaid elevated white collection appliances are beautiful and sophisticated. I™€™m so over the cold greyness of stainless steel appliances. This model is a bit smaller than the one I had before but it makes up in depth. It™€™s practical inside all glass for visual and cleaning is going be a breeze. The only con for me is the temperature control panel at the front to just as you open the door. It takes away valuable space.

Don't Believe Rebate Offers and Not Cold Enough

KitchenAid provides false/misleading information to retailers about which products are eligible for its rebate program. The "applies to all major appliances" rebate program application I submitted was denied because they claimed this refrigerator is not a "major appliance". Ridiculous. Also, even on the coldest setting, after the door was closed for 8 hours, and with barely any food in it, the refrigerator lowest temp achievable is only 40 degrees (per misc. thermometers I used). This is dangerously close to being too warm. Ideal temp should be around 37-38 degrees but this refigerator cannot attain that setting.

I have owned my KitchenAid Refrigerator for a year. I researched other brands to find the features and functions and KitchenAid had all I wanted for my Refrigerator. My KitchenAid refrigerator features I cannot live without Interior water dispenser, shelves and on door bins all adjustable to customize the accommodate organization, French Doors makes the interior all accessible no unreachable areas, location of the bottom freezer has a retracting top storage with the ice bin under the retractable freezer storage is a generous two compartment bin I can easily see all freezer contents, individual temperature control for refrigerator and freezer, open door alarm, lighted sensor to replace filters just too many amazing features. I love my KitchenAid refrigerator so much I bought the appliance suite microwave hood, smooth top electric convection fan double oven range is amazing, sand the dishwasher. Amazing the quiet operation of all my KitchenAid appliances.

Very Nice Looking, But...

I have had this refrigerator for 5 years now. I wanted a French Door fridge and this really was about the only French door fridge from any manufacturer that would fit my limited space. Plus it matches my KitchenAid slide-in gas stove which I have been very happy with. The fridge has worked well and runs quietly. My problem is the interior quality and design of the plastic drawers, and the bottom compartment of the left side door. The crisper drawers don't fully close, haven't from day 1. At the time I bought my fridge, the crisper drawers were advertised as having edging. Mine did not have it and another review of that time said the same. Two adults gently use this fridge, yet the lower compartment on the left drawer flops open every time I open the fridge if there's anything at all in it, so that's unusable. I live less than 3 miles from the Whirlpool World Headquarters. I wish I could just speak to someone there about this design. Is there a way to replace that compartment with another shelf? Is there a replacement for the compartment? I'm still going to go ahead and get a matching dishwasher, but this fridge needs a redesign and upgraded plastic with edging on the drawers so they'll shut.

I received this fridge a few months ago, purchasing the design because my husband wanted a bottom freezer and double doors. It is not terribly practical as there is very little space for bottles and a virtually useless plastic storage area for lack of a better word, on the left hand door. The left door has to be intentionally pushed closed and makes a loud thud when doing so, shaking items inside.I much prefer a standard old fashioned fridge as it is much more practical. Does look nice.

Much more spacious than I thought

I bought this two weeks ago and it's a huge improvement on my old Whirlpool. It's only a couple of inches wider and taller, but there is a lot more space inside. I like the adjustable sliding shelves and the deeper/wider freezer compartment. I haven't figured out what to store in the drop-open bin in the door, but I'll figure it out eventually. The water dispenser does drip after use so I placed a small sponge below it.

One door is already squeaking when you open it. The other is not aligned with the other. I tried what the manual says and have not been able to het any movement to fix the issue yet. Also, I wish there was a better way to align the shelves. Other wise the fridge seem to be good. Too bad there was a 4 month wait for it to arrive.

Do you even read these? I received refrigerator on the 11/07. On the 21st it broke down with a loud noise I had to unplug it. I have been without a refrigerator for two weeks, eating out of a ice chest. Bought a freezer that I don™€™t need, threw away $200 worth of food and more to go. The refrigerator fits perfectly in the narrow space. It has more room than the one that was replaced. It is working well and very quiet. Only complaint is the paint finish on the doors have scratches and the door handle is not aligned properly. I am waiting on replacement doors.

Useless for family

After looking for a year we finally purchased this fridge. Thank goodness we don™€™t have a large family. The set up of shelves is useless. They cannot be adjusted You cannot store any normal size jar or container on the bottom shelf a small jar of pickles or regular jar of mayo won™€™t fit on shelf so it is pretty much useless. If you have tall bottles or milk container you have 2 choices. Slide back a quarter of the middle shelf which provide barely any room or slide back half the top shelf n then you loose half the top shelf It™€™s honestly ridiculous. It looks like a big fridge it claims to be big but when you actually need to use it it is just horrible. Although this was suppose to be bigger then the fridge I had with missing shelves I cannot come close to fitting everything I had in old fridge in this one. I have had to store things in our basement fridge. As well, the seal around freezer isn™€™t working properly n doesn™€™t close leaving a gap

I bought this refrigerator 4 years ago and a plastic piece on the bottom of the door broke off. I called for a replacement part and was told he thought it was part of the door so I would need to buy a new $1200 door. When I told him I would like to speak to someone higher up with more knowledge, because I could not believe that was true, he said they would call me back within 24 hours. You guessed it, no one called back, otherwise I had no problems with the refrigerator but this is a showstopper.

Puechased less than a yr ago. Good product but abit noisy the way it runs. We have 2 people and drink a lot of water. THe ice maker does not keep up with our demand so we have to keep a bag of ice in freezer to add when necessary losing valuable freezer space. The air filter is located behind a shelf which requires removal of some items to be able to get shelf out enough to open door for replacement - bad design. But if nothing else goes wrong we would rate this a solid good.

Love Fridge in theory, horrible Quality Control

I bought this fridge due to unique needs of where it needed to fit into out cabinets. I also understood that due to COVID the supply chain was extremely delayed. That being said, while we love the design, features and appearance, the side came dented and there are several instances of blemishes in the surfaces and also very sloppy assembly and finishing. Not nearly in line with the quality and craftsmanship of the many other other Kitchen Aid product we own and love.

I bought this fridge a year ago and could not get anybody in to service it because of covid. The fridge door does not close properly because a plastic part broke and the crisper doors fall of the track sand the plastic door will not stay closed without duct tape. The freezer door wiggles and will not stay tight. So not impressed and getting a Samsung like the one I had in my old house. Regards, Angelo

Gasket nightmare

Our fridge was installed in spring 2016. I loved the French doors, the interior water dispenser and bottom freezer. However, we just spent $425 replacing the gaskets on the refridgerator compartment. Apparently, if you open the left side first, it puts stress on both sides of the gaskets. This left handed woman would not have bought this model had I known that. I am trying to retrain myself to open the right side first and close that side last. It's a pain.

A Lot for the Size

We have had this refrigerator for a number of years. We have only had to have it repaired once due to a defect in the freezer where ice would build up on the bottom of the inside of the freezer. The technician indicated this was a known design flaw that had been redone and there was a fix for ours. Since then, no other issues. We have a small space for the refrigerator in our kitchen and this one had had an ice-maker and water dispenser. We love the French Door design, the freezer on the bottom is awesome and the shelves are really easy to use and clean. The only compliant I have is the tip out unit for storage in the door. I am not sure what that is all about. I have ordered just this evening another shelf like the ones above and seemingly that will fit where the tip out unit goes and it will then be darn near perfect. Highly recommend this product and have been pleased with our Kitchen Aid kitchen.

So bright inside and easy to find what you are looking for.Freezer large enough to keep everyday articles - saving steps to go to basement to big freezer. First time having water dispenser and ice maker - so-handy. Freezer drawer easy to pull open and close.

Ideal Refrigerator!!

We bought this refrigerator due to our small sized kitchen, and it is better than expected! KitchenAid is the only brand that offers a modern and stylish 30" wide French Door that offers a water dispenser and ice!! And so much more...It is very spacious holding 20 cu ft of storage, nice LED lighting, CRYSTAL CLEAR glass adjustable shelving and drawers, quiet running, etc! The freezer can pack a LOT too! Most brands offer a lot of "bulk" in their freezer drawers with not much storage space. We are so happy with our decision to buy this KitchenAid model!

LOVE this Fridge - BUT Keep this in Mind...

The looks are awesome! The size is perfect! Capacity is AMAZING! LED Lighting and crystal clear drawers are FANTASTIC! This fridge is ideal in every way - BUT...keep in mind, very tall drinks/pitchers can only be stored in fridge 2 not so ideal ways. You either have to slide upper shelf in (which now leaves you only a half top shelf for storage), OR you can store it in bottom shelf of one of the doors (which means you have to REMOVE the door shelf/tray above it all-together. Again, this is only for large pitchers or very tall container.

Works well but small

I've had this unit for about a month. I'm very happy with the water dispenser (Ive never had one), ice maker and the crispers--my produce seems to last very very well. I do find the spaces to be cramped, though, especially on the doors. They don't permit me to keep the number of things my old Kitchen Aid same size fridge did. They don't seem to be well designed.

The doors want to close on your arms. The shelves do not have enough space for tall items. The shelves have a devider that does not allow movement of items to rear of shelf. The freezer does not move in & out smoothly Freezer handle was very hard to make tight. ice bin takes up a huge amount of space in freezer

Living with 5 cu ft less space.

The compressor on my 20 y/o amaña side by side went kaput. I purchased the kitchen Aid as a replacement. Although I like the appearance of the kitchen aid, the 30™€ wide doesn™€™t fill in the cabinet Space as well as my 36™€ amaña did. (I was limited with model choices secondary to height restrictions) I accommodated for the less storage area by depleting my condiments selections. :( The bucket freezer requires a bit of digging to locate items. On occasion, I™€™ve had to put food in the ice tray because lack of space. Adjustment required here too. Overall, I like the look and the interior layout for food storage. Options for flexibility of shelf adjustment. Inside water dispenser much better than the exterior option. A consideration for those looking for a refrigerator would definitely be the space issue. I™€™m pleased that I purchased kitchen aid over a Korean made model.
