The problem is the owners manual. It don't tell you how to use the dishwasher. I had to call Whirlpool to try to get answers. They did not know either.? They said that they would send me a manual. So it's been over a week and still NO manual.

I guess we have had the dishwasher five already. I really like the stainless steel tub, I like the features. Like delayed cleaning. Every once in awhile there seems to be a problem with the washing though, somethings are still dirty.

The holes in the bottom of the silverware rack are too big - utensils fall thru. Gap from top rack to top of washer drum is too narrow. Most large utensils get jammed. Just need about 1/2 inch more.

We purchased our dishwasher during the pandemic. BIG MISTAKE. I have to rewash pans particularly and my dishes do not dry. They air dry or we hand dry them. So sad. My older dishwasher worked so much BETTER. Note: I worked at Whirlpool for 39+ years and was always proud of our products. So sad.

Only have one complaint - and apparently others do too. Certain items do not completely dry - plastic containers and lids, my ice tea glass container keeps water collected and a few other items. I never had this problem with old dishwasher - guess this is energy efficiency.

We bought this a few weeks ago and it has been great. I was nervous that the smaller dimensions would be smaller on the inside but for a family of 6 it took us almost a week to fill it compared to our previous one which was tiny inside and we were running it every other day. The heated dry cycle does take over 3 hours, but we set it to run on Friday night so it was ready Saturday AM. The top rack is great for spatulas and serving spoons.

The dishwasher is so quiet! But more importantly, the dishes come out sparkling! I didn't know how awful my previous dishwasher was until I started using this one. The only complaint I have is the silverware basket. It is awkward putting utensils in it and it doesn't hold very much without being overly crowded. I ended up keeping my previous silverware basket and using it in addition to the one that is in there.

I bought a top of the line Whirlpool dishwasher 4 years ago. It started leaking 3 1/2 years ago. It was leaking at the bottom of the door. Asked whirlpool to send out a service guy to look at it and they absolutely refused and told us that it™€™s been to long. We live in town with excellent water quality. Long story short we bought a GE dishwasher and will never buy a Whirlpool ever again!

So far, I've only had to replace the top tray, and that was after operating washer for 3 years. . The new one was designed better, stronger material, it works perfectly. Love my appliance and use 2-3 times per day most of the week.

I was frustrated with my registration process. I tried to register all four of my Whirlpool products. (Diswasher, Side-by-side Refrigerator, Microwave and,Range). When I logged on my Account, I noticed my Dishwasher (product model and serial number) was NAMED SIDE-BY-SIDE REFRIGERATOR. It took me several days to get the Name & Serial numbers to MATCH my account registration. My point? You need to stress with all your rep that "attention to detail and accuracy" is critical. It was not a pleasant process for me.

Well I bought this dishwasher 4 years ago and have had issues with it the last 2 years. I love the stainless steel interior but I had to have my repair man put new sliders on as the plastic ones broke. I just replaced the pump this year. My last Whirlpool dishwasher lasted 10 years before I needed to replace anything.

I wrote an honest review and Whirlpool wont post it. Here it goes again. Dishwasher didnt last 4 years. Pump broke twice outside of warranty. Do not buy this dishwasher if you expect to get any more than 3 years out of it. The wheels on the rack broke, the posts to hold the dishes had coating fall off then rust and break off. This is basically just a great big dumpstsr you will store in your kitchen

When we run a cycle or a load we constanstly have to put bowls under the corners of the door to catch the water that is spilling out.I have cleaned the filters weekly and checked the discharge hose to the sink and it is clear.Our hardwood floors in the kitchen are getting ruined !!!

High Maintenance

This dishwasher had problems from the start. The sump assembly needed replaced within a year. Luckily we had the Lowe™€™s protection plan which was great! The upper shelf had a plastic adjuster holding it to the track. It also broke. There is a metal replacement that is what the manufacturer should have originally built in. I bought the kit online as Lowe™€™s could not get the replacement part. The soap dispenser door broke and needed replaced. It is a $57 part!!! We also had to replace the silverware holder as part of it came off and was melted. The silverware holder attaches optionally to the end of the bottom rack but we were never able to get clean silverware from that position. This dishwasher has been very high maintenance but we continue to try and work with it.
