This is a smart looking and wonderful microwave I love everything about it. My old one was not as powerful as this one. Consequently the cooking times have changed for the better. And whats not to like about the smart inverter LOVE the easy clean grey antimicrobial lining. One more thing when cooking time is finished it has an unoffensive soft chime. Beautiful design but sadly too dangerous

I actually LOVED this microwave. The sleek design the quiet cooking noise the song it played when food was done. It very sadly had a malfunction and caught fire from the side but luckily I was in the kitchen when it happened. LG was kind enough to send me $100 to a replacement microwave. I wanted another of the same model but was too scared for it yo happen again.

Ive been looking to replace my microwave for quite awhile and nothing seemed to grab me. So browsing one day I came upon this microwave. Dimensions were only 1 less than what I had so it would fit the space. Its amazing. The pre-programed auto features are perfect. The feature to increase/decrease time power level and more is a great feature. Cooked my first plate of bacon to perfection. However you still need to keep an eye the process. Still learning all the features available. Its been a fun experience.

Easy and Efficient Operation

The microwave is very quiet when operating has a reminder tone when cooking is complete and heats/cooks more efficiently than my previous microwave. Once I read the owners manual the operation was easy. The ONLY downside I have encountered is the little amount of clearance there is between the door and the counter it sits on. It sits so low that there can be nothing-even a thin trivet-in front of the door or it wont clear it enough to open.

I normally love LG products. This microwave was great until it started smoking. Pros: - compact size - quiet - well lit inside - nice controls - high quality look and feel - fast even cooking Cons: - warranty is 1 year but after 1.5 years the magnetron antenna and waveguide started burning up and it died a loud smoky frightening death. - contacted LG about support and they said to get it repaired locally.. I imagine it wont be cost effective WOULD NOT BUY AGAIN

I like this microwave it heats things evenly and fast. It is easy to clean and is the perfect size for for for two people. I only have two cons for this microwave first is the sound it makes after it is finished cooking it is annoying and the second one is that the microwave slides when I open the door. They need to make make it more stable I had to purchase a anti -slip heat resistant mat for microwave to keep it sturdy.

This product is different because it does not have the numbers on the key pad but a slide. You have to open the door to get to the key pad and its functions. The machine does heat up nicely. My only regret is that the display is hard to read and the numbers are not bright.

Weve had this microwave for just over a year and for the most part we like it. However we have lately noticed a problem that when heating something for a longer time like frozen vegetables or soup it takes longer to heat. I hooked up a Kill-o-watt meter and saw that the wattage starts out at over 1600 watts for the first couple minutes but then starts to drop off about 100 watts / minute. If we stop the microwave to stir the food and start it back up again it remains at the lower level of heat even though it is set to 100 heating. This makes it very difficult to accurately heat up multiple food items.

Ill start with the positive. This is a beautiful looking oven and I like the size and power for my uses. It has more space inside than most other smaller ovens. It can easily fit a 10-12 plate inside. The turntable and support under it are a great design and the turntable doesnt slip off easily like other ovens. I like the darker inside of the oven and its easy to clean. I especially like the time functions and how you set the cooking time and its completely different from all the other ovens out there. It has some auto cook choices that are great. I like the sleek look with no ugly handles or that press button to open the door so the door is easy to open. Just a great design all around and kudos to LG for that. I loved this oven for the 2 years 10 months that it worked and a month ago I would have rated it an enthusiastic 5 stars. THEN...a couple of weeks ago and out of the blue when I turned it on for 10 seconds there was a loud pop and grinding sort of noise and I immediately shut off the oven. I opened the door and I could detect an electrical burning type smell and I saw a bit of smoke coming from the top of the insides of the oven. I tested the oven by turning it on again but it repeated the noise immediately so I was afraid to use it after that. I did some research and many users reported the magnetron going bad sometimes earlier than it did for me. I have never had a microwave go out this quickly in the 35+ years Ive had microwaves. I emailed LG expressing my disappointment in how this oven blew out so early in its life. To LGs credit they answered immediately and then shuffled my comments up the chain but beyond that nothing much. I didnt really expect or ask for anything from LG but I did want them to know I was disappointed in their product. I expected this microwave to last longer than it did. Final comment: The magnetron/converter has a 10 year warranty and it even says that on the front. Its a meaningless warranty in my opinion. You have to go to an authorized repair person and get it evaluated and you have to pay for that yourself. The nearest one to me is about 60 miles away different town and area. LG would send HIM the new magnetron but the repair person would install it again at MY cost. All of this would undoubtedly cost more than just going out and buying a new microwave. If the magnetron were owner-user replaceable that would be different. It seems that given this situation LG likely never has to actually replace a magnetron. My advice for anyone buying a microwave these days is to spring for an extended warranty from whoever you buy from. It doesnt sound like microwave ovens are expected to last very long these days unlike in the past.

Two times the same problem with this Microwave.

I purchased this microwave on June 15 2022. In July 2022 I sent a claim for the repair of my about 6 week old microwave. After hearing nothing for some time I received a rebate letter in which I was asked to provide certain proof. But there was no e-mail or link of any kind mentioned as to where I could return the labels to. I had two online chats with LGs customer service. Neither one could help me directly but promised to forward my request to the proper department. By December 2022 I had not heard from anybody. After several attempts to communicate with somebody I finally heard back in June 2023 and was awarded a replacement microwave. Surprise the replacement microwave lasted less than three months and started spitting fire just like the first one. Again I put in a repair request on October 15 2023 received a confirmation e-mail and a promise that I will hear from somebody real soon. So far a big NOTHING. I think this is the worst experience I ever had with a product and a customer service.

It last about 3.5 years for family of 7. Other microwaves have about 900W. This one is 1000W. Food should be warmed faster. The insurance for the Magentron is good. 10 years. But part only. I called the repair service company. The labor cost to fix it is MORE than a BRAND NEW microwave.

We bought this product because it was the perfect size for what we needed. One day it started making a loud buzzing noise and started sparking like crazy coming from the panel inside the microwave. It was so close to starting a fire in our kitchen. Massive safety issue

Soild compact microwave that cooks well. I subtract three stars because it frequently trips our AFCI. We cant have popcorn or a potato without at least four trips to the basement to flip the breaker. Also both my husband and I have noticed interference with our bluetooth earbuds when running the machine like zapping a beverage for a 15 second reheat. We thought it might be a one-off dud so after nearly two years of dealing with the issue we bought a second NeoChef unit and it does the exact same thing.

Ive always thought LG is a super brand and in my daughters recent kitchen remodeling she used all LG products. So I decided to get a LG microwave my first LG when my old one broke after 10 years. It only lasts for7 months. It made loud noise and left a dark burned mark inside. I called customer service couple times they were very friendly and told me I would get a refund then manager contacted me thru text and said it would be a store credit refund of $158. I was very disappointed but went searching for my options in LG.COM. Most stuff are more than $500 except microwave and vacuum cleaner which are mostly around $300 plus. Right now I dont have the confidence to spend another $150 plus my store credit of $158 to get a LG vacuum cleaner. What happens if it broke again in 7 months. By the way my household only includes 2 people in late seventy and we are very careful with our appliances. My purpose of this writing is to hopefully help LG to review its product and customer refund policy.

Arcs and Pops and o longer heats

So weve had this microwave for 2-3 years and have love everything about it. The size finish and most of all NO ANNOYING BEEPS when the cycle finishes. It plays a silly little tune : Thats why I gave it the three stars however the problem we have run into is it started to arc and make loud popping noises. I noticed that it developed an almost burned spot on the right side so we unplugged the unit and let it sit for a couple of days. I plugged it back in today to try it with a cup of water. About 25 seconds in it made the popping sound and arcing again. Shut it off immediately and opened to take out the mug. The water was not even luke warm so now its completely shot .Im upset because I spent a lot of time looking for just the right microwave and I really hate to have to replace this one.

l started to shoot electricity volts across the inside of the microwave It could easily have started fire had I not been standing there. Its states that it has 10 YEAR WARRANTY - etched on the front of the microwave. Can you please fix it? Looks like its common issue on this microwave.

This is the second microwave of the exact model that has died w/in a year. After 9months it started to make a terrible noise and started to smoke. The retailer directed me to LG for coverage under the manufacturers warranty. LG did not honor my request to replace/repair/refund on account that I presented a receipt that was a copy provided by the retailer that was not the original copy. A bad product with service to match.
