Not the Quality I expected

Having the same issues as others with the button. It has posed a slight issue since purchase 4 years ago but recently will occasionally run for a few seconds and then stop and show an exclamation point. When I contacted online chat bot support I was instructed to unplug for 10 minutes so microwave could reset. Left it unplugged overnight plugged back in and exclamation point still shows. Purchased full LG package 4 years ago refrigerator gas stove dishwasher and microwave. Have already had to replace refrigerator. I feel like appliances should last longer than what these are affording me.

Great except for the non-beeps

I really like this microwave because of its versatility. The defrost has 4 preset levels and determines the time it should run letting you know when to turn your food over. Unfortunately it doesnt have a non-meat or bread category to use for soups beans etc. I think the sensor cook system errs on the long side so I stopped using that. When you enter a power level you get that level not a percentage of time on and off. That is a great feature. The turntable is large and the rounded interior corners are easy to clean. All of that said there is no way to turn the ditties it plays instead of a beep. And they repeat every 30 seconds until you press end or open the door. At 4 years old part of the door latch system that opens the door when you press the latch broke. It works only if you press the upper left corner. As long as it works doing that I will not take it to a repair center assuming I can find one within 30 miles. Because of the tunes and the door problem I deducted 1 star.

I bought a whole house full of LG appliances during a remodel. Sales folks insisted that I needed an extended warranty to go along with the manufacture warranty. The package took all appliances out for 5 years. The microwave failed inits 3rd year so I called for service. That was almost a month ago. Service calls have been scheduled 3 times only to be canceled without notice. Many hours on the phone with foreign call centers but the microwave is still broken

Very Poor Service assistance

This unit worked great until something inside failed. We have the manufacturer warranty the LG Premium Package Warranty and the Lowes appliance warranty. We have been on the phone for hours trying to get service but nothing. We have had three separate appointments for a service call and all were canceled without notice. They were eager to take out money for the extended coverage but arent willing to live up to the policy terms.

DO NOT PURCH lg PRODUCTS After 1 year my microwave went out. Completely out. LG discontinued this microwave because they knew it was a bad product however they refuse to do a recall and give customers back their money or fix the issue. Instead they say its been one year get it fixed yourself. I paid over $300 for this microwave. I could have purchased a $60 one like my sister from another company. Hers has been working for 3 yrs no issues. Im looking into filing a lawsuit on lg for knowing distributing faulty products. Laws are changing to make companies accountable and I hope LG either goes out of business or is finally held accountable

Misleading Warranty and Rude Support: My Microwave

I have absolutely exhausted every option with customer service known to man. We went through all the steps multiple times to no avail. I spoke with at least five different agents and two managers all of whom were extremely rude and unhelpful. After owning this product for not even two years the keypad illuminated but the buttons didnt respond. The door shows a 10-year warranty. When I called for support they claimed it was only a one-year warranty. The manual indicates a 10-year warranty on parts for the magnetron. I sent pictures of the manual and microwave yet customer service repeatedly denied that we had the magnetron brand despite the clear 10-year warranty sign on the door. I am now left with a microwave that barely lasted over a year.

Parts Physically Break Down After 2 Years

Cooked well enough for the first 24 months then the digital display burned out in 2 spots is it 0? Is it 8? Is it 6? Who knows? Then at 30 months the button to open the door broke. We have to use our fingers and push the spring behind the broken button to open the door. Probably not the safest way to open a microwave. Replacement parts cost more than anew unit. Not what I expected for $220 microwave from LG. Cheap parts apparently unless you want to buy just the parts to replace all of the broken ones on this LG unit then they are really marked up to the sky. Yep this is how they get you to keep buying new microwaves and dishwashers and washers and dryers and tvs etc.

LG Appliances failed within four years

The microwave worked fine for four years. It stopped heating and now makes a clicking sound evry three seconds while the fan runs and the table turns but no heating. The smart diagnosis feature does not identify any issues. I bought the matching trim kit so replacing a discontinued appliance will be more expensive. This was the last of the four LG major kitchen appliances to fail within the four years Ive lived in my newly constructed house. The range and dishwasher were replaced after three repairs each. The fridge has had two motors replaced but is still working.

Super solid easy to use large size microwave oven. This is the second LF Microwave oven I have purchased in the last ten years. First one has lasted ten years so far in our other house. I has a large simple to use keypad and display. it is super easy to use. Our seven your old granddaughter uses it with ease It work very consistently in all modes. We use it mostly for reheating and thawing. It works fantastic. The large size allows you to place a large bowl or pan into the oven for reheating. Would definitely buy another one next time I need one.

I first bought this in mid 2021. The first one quit working in February of 2024 That sticker on the front that says 10 year warranty does not apply to the microwave just the magnetron. The rest of the unit only has one year. Contacting customer support was pointless. Honestly I like the size and look of the microwave a lot. I had decided to never buy another LG anything after the warranty debacle. The only reason I got another one is because ABC warehouse stood up and offered me a discount on the unit along with a 5 year extended warranty. So my advice is to get the extended warranty rather than the 10 year manufacturer not warranty.

$500 wasted -- no longer heats after 15 months

Purchased this microwave and the mounting kit for $500 and it stopped heating food after 15 months. LG will only cover the cost of the parts not labor. Labor quotes have started at 300 and gone up from there.

Blows fuses if it gets over 8 min. of cooking time

I dont care for the new microwaves. When they blow a fuse they need the clock redone to even operate. This one has a problem when cooking for over 8 minutes. The inside gets way to hot even when the surrounding areas are open for the vent. So if you heat a potato if it makes it the full way the minute you place a coffee mug in it next to microwave the thing busts a fuse and stops. In fact you have to leave the door wide open for 20 minutes before it is cool enough to even microwave a 30 second re-heated coffee. What a junky piece of equipment - would not buy ever again.

LCD digits disappear rather soon

We have had this model since 2019 and though it continues to work ok we lost mutiple LCD digits on the control panel within two years of owning and can barely tell the time anymore.

Magnatron cant go the distance

Bought the microwave 4 years ago and it died out of nowhere. Everything works perfectly except the magnatron which is responsible for heating. You might think Well thats not a problem-- the magnatron has a 10 year warranty Just call LG. What youll find from every appliance repair shop is that it costs more in labor to replace the magnatron than it does to buy a new microwave. And LG wont reimburse you the value of a magnatron to put toward your replacement microwave purchase. In a nutshell the magnatron warranty is worthless and the product does not last anywhere close to 10 years.

Absolutely terrible Microwave

The absolute piece of junk. I have replaced this micro 4 times in 6 years. The reason I dont buy a different brand is that Im locked in to same unit because the entire kitchen appliances are lg black stainless and no other brand matches in color. I have gone so far as to buy an another unit and keep it handy when the present one dies and it will. LG customer service is as bad as quality of microwave. Dont buy it

Stopped Working 1yr-8mths

Microwave stopped heating only after 1 yr and 8 months. Up until then it worked well. I purchased another one because it was inexpensive and matched my cabinet cutout / frame already installed.

Worked great for about 9 months

I really liked this microwave until a couple of months ago when it started making strange squealing noises. Noises quit and now it does not heat as fast as it did. Takes about twice as long as it used to for heating a large cup of coffee. Just checked warranty and it expired 4 days ago. It is in a house that is only used about 1/2 of the time by 2 people. Obviously not a quality product. Should have checked on warranty several months ago. Manufacturer planned obsolescence

Looks great but has some major problems

Had this microwave a little more than a year. The button to open and close the door has plastic pieces that hold it together and break way to easily The clock/timer light display randomly goes out in parts of the numbers. Another huge issue with this is that it interferes with the wi-fi router big time. Whole lot of issues that has me looking for a new microwave and it most likely wont be an LG. Sad because my other kitchen appliances are LG black stainless. This review also wouldnt let me leave photos of the issues.

Unpredictable and cheap made

This microwave has a number of problems. First of all the sensor cook and sensor reheat have never worked well. One moment it undercooks things and the next moment it boils or explodes food all over the place. Based on other reviews I was a bit concerned about the door latch and now that issue has occurred as well. The hinge on the door latch is a total piece of junk. Little plastic pivot pin that breaks easily. Could have easily used metal or beefed it up a bit to make it a usable product. The hinge is integrated into the front control panel so once it breaks it means a new control panel or a new microwave.

We are well-pleased with the new LG Microwave It has performed well thus far. This microwave has a large interior and soft chimes that is not annoying. the interior light is low but being at eye level is helpful. The microwave fit our old trim kit so that is great.

Modern Features at a Great Price

This countertop microwave has the modern inverter technology highest home wattage and largest home capacity along with ease-of-use features and was very affordably priced. The only downside is that it doesnt have the turntable off/on feature which we would have preferred but very few companies make that feature now.
